Description
- Industrial Water Demineralization:
- Used to remove dissolved anions (e.g., chloride, sulfate, nitrate, bicarbonate, silica) from water as part of a two-bed demineralization process (with a cation resin) to produce high-purity water.
- Dealkalization:
- Removes alkalinity (bicarbonates/carbonates) from water, reducing pH and corrosive tendencies.
- Silica Removal:
- Capable of extracting silica, especially useful in boiler feed water and high-purity applications.
- Neutralization and Specific Anion Removal:
- Can target specific troublesome anions (e.g., nitrates, sulfates) depending on operating conditions and regeneration regime.
- High Operating Capacity:
- Has a strong ability to remove large quantities of anions before exhaustion, meaning longer service cycles and less frequent regeneration.
- Efficient Regeneration:
- Regenerates effectively with common regenerants (e.g., NaOH solutions), reducing chemical usage and operating costs.
- Excellent Physical Stability:
- Robust spherical gel matrix resists degradation and physical breakdown under normal operating conditions, enhancing lifespan and durability.
- Type ll Strong Base Functionality:
- The Type II quaternary ammonium groups provide good performance in removing weakly-ionized anions like silica and organic-acid species, often with higher capacity than Type I resins.
- Regulatory Approval:
- Complies with FDA Regulation 21 CFR 173.25 for food-related water use and is certified Halal and Kosher, making it suitable for potable and industrial applications where regulatory compliance is important.
- Consistent Particle Size and Flow Characteristics:
- The defined bead size (300–1200 µm) and uniformity promote low pressure drop, even flow distribution, and efficient bed performance.
