The Whole House Water Purifier, also known as a Point-of-Entry (POE) Water Softener and Chlorine Removal System is designed to purify every drop of water as it enters your home. A high efficiency ion exchange resin and Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) media will provide two levels of water filtration. First, it will produce soft water. Second, the chlorine’s unwanted taste and odors will be eliminated from your water and you will enjoy great quality water at every tap in the house. An automatic backwashing process (involving the addition of sodium or potassium chloride) is able to clean the softening media allowing it to be useful for many years. However, over a period of time (3-5 years depending on the size of the filtration system and quality of water), the adsorption capacity of the carbon is reached and the bed should be replaced with a fresh supply of activated carbon.
