Low pH correction and acidity neutralization media

Low pH correction and acidity neutralization media

The pH (potential of hydrogen) level referrers  to the amount of hydrogen found in water. The pH level measured on a scale from 0 to 14 reflects how acidic water is. Seven is neutral, meaning there is a balance between acid and alkalinity. A measurement below 7 means acid is present and a measurement above 7 is basic or alkaline. The recommendation for public water systems is to maintain pH level between 6.5 and 8.5. Using Calcium Carbonate or a blend of magnesium oxide (Corosex) and calcite is the most common method of correction water acidity.
